August 9, 2009

Today is Sunday.

The new school year of 2009-2010 starts tomorrow at Christian Life Academy where my wife and I teach.

Yesterday I did two things that I had never done before in my life. First, I ate a peanut and its shell whole. Second, I got my hair dyed, only because they had a special when I went to get my hair cut and I thought it would be cool to try it once.

I took Matthew, my 13 year old, the Zeagler's music by the house and we played the bass and lead together on a little song that we made up. It was fun. Then we ate a steak together at the Texas Roadhouse on Siegen. Matthew just started wearing contacts about a week ago. He figured out how to manage sticking them in his eye fairly quickly.

The teacher retreat on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of last week was quite nice. We went to Lake Fausse by Henderson, LA. I was able to take quite a few interesting pictures of the wetlands and white egrets that are plentiful here.
